Physical Therapy Services

A woman’s body changes dramatically over the course of her lifetime, from the onset of menstruation to pregnancy to menopause. Some of these changes and subsequent side-effects may cause pain, discomfort or inconvenience. Rehabilitation services can be helpful in treating a wide variety of conditions that women may experience.

Evaluation and treatment are offered for:

  • Urinary incontinence

  • Urinary retention

  • Constipation

  • Fecal incontinence

  • Pelvic pain

  • Pelvic organ prolapse

  • Lower back pain

  • Nocturia or urinary frequency

  • Dyspareunia (painful intercourse)

  • Musculoskeletal problems related to pregnancy and delivery

  • Scar management

  • Pain and muscle weakness following surgery

  • Dysmenorrhea and endometriosis

  • Pubic symphysis dysfunction

  • Interstitial cystitis 

Our experienced staff of licensed physical therapists are all women and have received specialized training in the areas of obstetric and gynecologic physical therapy.
