Karen Rosene Montella, MD, is senior vice president of Women’s Services and Clinical Integration, and vice chair of medicine for Quality and Outcomes at Lifespan; and division chief of Obstetric Medicine at Lifespan and Brown University.
A professor of medicine and obstetrics and gynecology at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, Rosene Montella received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and her medical degree from Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. She completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at the University of Washington.
She established the first fellowship in the country to train internists in medical problems in pregnancy. Rosene Montella is a fellow of the American College of Physicians. She is past president of the International Society of Obstetric Medicine, director of the American College of Physicians Workshops “Medical Problems in Pregnancy”, and co-chair of the Women’s Health Council of Rhode Island.
Rosene Montella is board certified in internal medicine. Her clinical and research interests include medical problems in pregnancy and pregnancy and postpartum follow-up of women with chronic medical illness, specifically thrombosis, preeclampsia and thyroid disorders in pregnancy. Rosene-Montella is fluent in English and Spanish.
Margaret Miller, MD, is director of the Women’s Medicine Collaborative.
She is an associate professor of medicine and director of the internal medicine resident rotation in obstetric medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Miller received a medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia and completed her residency in internal medicine at Rhode Island Hospital.
She is a member of the American College of Physicians, the Women’s Health Council of Rhode Island, the Rhode Island Prematurity Task Force and serves as vice president for the North American Society of Obstetric Medicine.
Miller is board certified in internal medicine. She is a fellow of the American College of Physicians. Her clinical and research interests include medical problems in pregnancy and cardiovascular risk in women with pregnancy complications.
Lucia Larson, MD, is director of Obstetric Medicine at the Women’s Medicine Collaborative.
An associate professor of medicine and obstetrics and gynecology at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, Larson has been director of the fellowship in Obstetric and Consultative Medicine at Alpert Medical School since 2005 and director of the Alpert Medical School’s student clerkship in Medical Consultation in Obstetrics & Gynecology since 1998.
Larson received a medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York, and completed her residency in internal medicine at University of Chicago Hospitals. Larson completed a fellowship in obstetric and consultative medicine at Women & Infants Hospital. Larson is immediate past president of the North American Society of Obstetric Medicine.
Larson is board certified in internal medicine. She is a fellow of the American College of Physicians. Her clinical and research interests include medical problems in pregnancy including thromboembolic disease, preeclampsia and cardiac disorders.
Courtney Clark Bilodeau, MD, is an attending physician in Obstetric Medicine and Women's Primary Care at the Women’s Medicine Collaborative.
She received a medical degree from Chicago Medical School, completed her residency in internal medicine at Rhode Island Hospital, and completed a fellowship in obstetric and consultative medicine at Women & Infants Hospital. Bilodeau is a member of the American College of Physicians, the North American Society of Obstetric Medicine and the International Society of Obstetric Medicine.
Bilodeau is board certified in internal medicine. Her clinical and research interests include breastfeeding, evidenced-based complementary medicine, and peripartum management of chronic medical conditions from preconception through postpartum.
Erica J. Hardy, MD, MMSc, is an attending physician in Infectious Diseases and Obstetric Medicine at the Women’s Medicine Collaborative.
Hardy received a medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. She completed a residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at Rhode Island Hospital and its Hasbro Children’s Hospital and a fellowship in infectious diseases at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Hardy completed a master of arts in philosophy and medical ethics at the University of Maryland, a certificate program in clinical effectiveness at the Harvard School of Public Health in Boston, Massachusetts and received a master of medical sciences degree from Harvard Medical School.
She earned the Edward Collins Memorial Fund award from the Department of Pediatrics at Alpert Medical School for demonstrating a strong commitment to pediatric advocacy and community service. Hardy is a member of the American College of Physicians, American Academy of Pediatrics, and the Infectious Disease Society of America.
Hardy is board certified in internal medicine, pediatrics and infectious diseases. Her clinical and research interests include infectious disease issues in obstetric and gynecologic patients, including congenital infections; as well as outcomes, post-exposure prophylaxis and follow-up care of sexual assault survivors.
